Odoo Shopify Connector features

Shopify orders become Odoo sales orders

Every imported order arrives with its product lines, shipping cost, discount line and taxes, so your team works the order in Odoo. Run Import Orders for a date range, or for single order IDs, and set a schedule to pick up new ones. Orders come in by fulfillment status. When Shopify already fulfilled an order, Odoo records the stock move instead of creating a delivery.

Send fulfillment and tracking to Shopify

Your buyer sees the order fulfilled with a tracking number as soon as you finish shipping in Odoo. Add the tracking details, validate the delivery, then press Update in Marketplace. Store pickup orders get their own buttons, so one click sets Ready for Pickup and later Mark as Picked up in both systems. A scheduled export can cover many orders at once.

Refund a Shopify order from a credit note

Refunds recorded in Odoo reach the store with the same figures. Post a credit note against the Shopify order and click Refund in Shopify. If an amount is still outstanding, Odoo opens Register Payment, where you tick Refund in Shopify, choose whether to notify the customer and split the amount across payments. Odoo warns you when the Shopify total and the registered amount differ.

Cancel an order in Shopify with a reason

Cancel the sale order in Odoo first, then open it and click Cancel In Shopify. The wizard asks for a reason, such as item unavailable, payment declined or fraudulent order, and lets you email the customer. Restock inventory and refund payments appear only when the order's payment and fulfillment status allow them. Keep Order closes the wizard and sends nothing.

Reconcile Shopify Payments payouts

Payouts come into Odoo as records with one line per charge, refund or fee, ready to match against your bank. Import a date range, or switch on a daily job for new payouts. Posting a payout creates or updates a bank statement in the journal you picked. Auto Reconcile matches charge and refund lines to invoices, and other transaction types to the accounts you mapped.

Match products by SKU or barcode

Choose how Odoo recognizes a Shopify product: by SKU, by barcode, or by both, where SKU is checked first and barcode is the fallback. You set this per store connection, so imports update the product you already have rather than adding a second one. That also lets you move across from another connector and keep your existing catalog.

How to connect Shopify to Odoo

  1. Step 1

    Install the app

Search for the TeqStars Shopify app in Odoo Apps and install it. The shared Base Marketplace module it depends on installs with it and covers listings, instance management and analytics. It is not a separate purchase.

  2. Step 2

    Add your store credentials

Paste your Shop URL and the API access token from your Shopify custom app, then press Test Connection to confirm Odoo can reach the store.

  3. Step 3

    Set product matching

Pick SKU, barcode or both as the way Odoo identifies Shopify products. This decides whether an import updates an existing product or creates a new one.

  4. Step 4

    Map payments and workflows

Point each payment gateway at an Odoo journal and set the workflow per gateway and financial status. That workflow decides whether imported orders are confirmed, invoiced and paid.

  5. Step 5

    Turn on live store updates

Enable the store event updates, called webhooks, so new orders, product changes and returns reach Odoo right away. They need a secure HTTPS address, which Odoo.sh sets up for you.

  6. Step 6

    Run the first imports

Import products, then customers, then orders from the Operations button. Import listings before collections. Watch the queue manager while the records are processed.

It runs on Odoo Enterprise, both on-premise and on Odoo.sh, and on Odoo Community on-premise. Odoo Online does not accept third-party apps, so the connector cannot be installed there. We ship it for Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0, and each version is sold separately following Odoo's policy.

You need a Shopify Grow plan or higher. Shopify treats customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses as Level 2 personal information, and a custom app may only read that data on Grow and above. Stores on the Basic plan cannot grant that access, so customer import will not work there.

Yes, there is no limit on the number of stores. Each store keeps its own credentials, product matching rule, payment gateway mappings, warehouse, pricelist and live update settings. That lets you manage products, stock, orders and customers for several stores in one Odoo database.

A single bad record does not hold up the rest of the batch. Each failure is written to the log with the Shopify record ID, the error message and a link back to the record so you can fix it. Orders that fail because no order workflow matches tell you which workflow to configure.

Prices are sent from Odoo based on the pricelist you set for the store. If you would rather send the product's own sale price and skip the pricelist, turn on that option in the product configuration. Prices imported from Shopify go into the pricelist, not onto the product record itself.

Yes, values from product, variant, order and customer metafields are read during the matching import operation. There is no separate metafield import. Mappings are used only when the relevant metafields card is Active and the mapping status shows Ready. Order and customer metafields cannot be sent from Odoo back to Shopify.

Returns are imported by date range, by a schedule, or when the store reports a change, and you can also create a return in Shopify from a done delivery. Closing a return restocks only the lines Shopify marked as restocked. Force Restock covers the rest, but then quantities in the two systems will differ.

Yes. Products are matched on SKU or barcode, so an import updates the product already in Odoo instead of creating a copy. Set the import start date to the day you switch so older orders are not pulled in again. Customers are matched on details such as name, address and email.
